We will be following the latest tournament rules, which means trooper silhouette is in effect, and Victory Points will matter when it comes to tournament standings.

Round Time

There will be 15 minutes allocated for determining matchups (more on this in the Matchups section) and defining the battlefield and deployment. After which the standard 90 minutes of game time will commence. Once the 90 minutes are up, there will be a maximum extension of 15 minutes to finish the current round. Once that 15 minutes expires, players must stop play immediately and tally victory points to decide the winner.

Point value and Format

Each team will be made up of 3 players, and each of those players will bring their 500-point force to play in a Skirmish-sized event played on 3x3ft boards with standard Skirmish Mission creation.

If a player doesn’t have a set of skirmish mission cards, there will be some available for use.

Please see the section below: ‘Army selection and rules’ for rules that apply during this event when each player is selecting their force.

List Submission

All team captains must ensure that their teams are correct and submitted on Longshanks by Midnight on Friday, May 5th, 2023. If you are not able to meet this deadline please contact the store with a reason as to why and we will see what we can do.

Army Selection & Rules

Across the 3 players that make up a team, there may be no duplicates of characters or factions. This means:

Each player on the team MUST take a different faction from the following list of factions:
Rebels

Empire

Galactic Republic

Separatists

Shadow Collective

Battleforces can be taken, but count towards the main faction used, for example, Josh takes an Echo Base force, and therefore his team cannot take another Rebel force.

Players across teams also CANNOT take the same named characters. So only 1 player can take Boba Fett, R2D2, or any other unit that can be taken across multiple factions.

For the matchup process please see the section titled: Matchups

Matchups

As this is a bit of a unique format we’ve got a different way to match up teams/players throughout the event.

The first round will be a random matchup. The second and third rounds will be matched in a swiss system.

Each captain should note what their 3 lists’ TOTAL points are out of the maximum 1500, this is used to determine blue and red teams in the round matchup process. The team with the lowest overall points value can choose if they are red or blue team. Once this has been decided the following happens:

Step 1: Each team, simultaneously, will choose one of their 3 lists to be a defender and present them at the same time.

Step 2: Each team will choose one of their 2 remaining lists to be an attacker into the chosen defender.

Step 3: The lists left without a matchup will now play against each other.

This will result in 3 matchups now selected.

Then, the blue team will choose which matchups play on which of the 3 tables.

From this point on, each matchup will take place independently from the other, with each game in isolation from the rest. After the initial matchup process, follow the standard rules for a skirmish to complete your game. While players are playing their game, teammates, opposing players, or onlookers outside the game taking place should not interfere or advise.
